Synopsis

Meet John Doe is a comedy-drama that tells the story of Ann Mitchell, a newspaper columnist who invents a fictional character named "John Doe" for a story about an ordinary citizen protesting society's problems. What begins as a publicity stunt soon takes on a life of its own when a drifter named Long John Willoughby is hired to portray the fictional figure before the public.

As John Doe's message of kindness, community spirit, and social responsibility spreads across the country, a grassroots movement emerges. However, powerful political and business interests attempt to use the movement for their own purposes, creating conflicts that test the integrity of everyone involved.
